Creating Irie Pascal 3 April 2014

I have added support for two major new features to StrongLib (i.e. the library that makes it easy to create Windows applications). These new features are:
Irie Pascal 3 may not use the support for TCP/IP sockets, but I added it because I needed the support for another project.

Irie Pascal 3 will use the support for bitmaps because some windows controls (like Toolbar, Ttree-View, and List-View controls) can use bitmaps.

  3. Buenas tardes,

Please forgive if my english is not so good. Is not my first way of talk :-)

I wish to create website to help persons buy and sell goods in Latin America.

So I visit many websites for ideas and I see good website which say "Powered by Irie Pascal" and which have link to www.irietools.com

I know Pascal very well and I like this site, but I cannot see how to create such a site in Irie Tools.

Is there area in Irie Tools which I fail to visit?

    Thank you for your help.

    Saludos cordiales.

    Ricardo

    1. Hi Ricardo,

I am surprised to hear that thereare websites which say "Powered by Irie Pascal", I don't ask anybody to do that, and those websites are not connected to Irie Tools, so I don't know whether any of these websites are safe to use.

If you want to create a website using Irie Pascal then you can look at the "Web Programming" section of the website. Just go to www.irietools.com and click on the "Web Programming" tab. If you already know how to program websites with CGI then you can probably find enough information on the website to use Irie Pascal to program websites. If you do not know how to program website with CGI then the information on the website might not be enough to help you.

    2. Thank you for your kind words and concern.

I contact website and they send to me example Pascal Source to help me understand better. I am very happy as I now understand how they create the website using Irie Pascal. Is not so hard.

Now I go to look at Web Programming area of Irie Tools for more guidance.

      Saludos cordiales.

      Ricardo

    1. I haven't done an update recently because I didn't think I had enough new things that would be interesting to anybody besides myself, but since you ask.

      I have:
      1. Added some new modules to the library: Pathname, Search (folder), List, Array.
      2. Been working on making the library more consistent in the way it handles certain types of errors.
      3. Completed a project (unrelated to Irie Pascal), and sent in a proposal for another.

I'm sorry but I don't have any more information right now. I'll post an update when I know more.

  14. Are there any plans to "beef up" the ability to display graphics such as those commands found within nxpascal which, although similar in commands, is nowhere near as powerful as Irie Pascal?

It does appear to feature quite a few graphic commands, the likes of which I am sure would make Irie Pascal a far more powerful package should it include some similar commands.

Bear in mind that nxpascal is a game making application, something which I am sure Irie Pascal would be far better at given its wider command structure and features.

Add a few graphic and sound commands and you would be lightyears ahead of many packages.
